Mallorca is known for its great cycling routes. Whether you enjoy staying on flat ground or climbing mountains, your options are unlimited. Below are some recommendations on Cycling cafes that can give you advice on routes. Additionally there is a link to the place we typically rent our bikes from. You can rent shoes and helmets if you don't bring your own. We advise to bring your own lycra, or buy some new threads at one of the shops in Palma! If you're planning on cycling, let us know and we can try to get group together. There are many hiking routes through the Serra de Tramuntana. Whilst the main route (GR221) takes about a week, there are several stages that make nice day hikes with a variety of lengths and difficulty. One route we like is from Deia to the Port de Soller. You can take a bus from Palma to Deia, pick-up the route there and end at the beach. A bus takes you back to Palma.
If you are keen for a run, we recommend heading towards the water and running along the promenade in the direction of Portixol.
For those looking for a sandy beach, this horseshoe-shaped beach has lots going on. Several places to rent sun loungers/umbrellas, or find a spot of your own on the beach. Don't wait too long as the place sells out! Bon Vi Restaurant: Casual spot for a meal anytime in the day. Classic Spanish food with a seafood tilt.

One of our favorite spots, located in the market in the neighborhood of Santa Catalina. Best to come early as they sell out of most food by midday. Especially recommended for those who like a local experience, eating seafood, or having a drink before noon.
