This the nearest airport, about a 20-minute drive to the resort. It’s small and easy to navigate, which makes for a quick arrival and departure if you find a flight that works. This airport is about 45–60 minutes away by car or private transfer and offers the most international flight choices and often better prices. Las Americas Santo Domingo Airport (SDQ)

Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) in Santo Domingo is farther (about 1.5–2 hours by road) but can be useful if you find a better flight option. El Aeropuerto Internacional Las Américas (SDQ), en Santo Domingo, está a una distancia mayor (aproximadamente 1.5–2 horas por carretera), pero puede ser una buena alternativa si encuentra un vuelo que se ajuste mejor a su itinerario.

Travel Documents and Requirements

Passport: - A valid passport is required for entry into the Dominican Republic. -Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. Visa Requirements: - Most visitors from the U.S., Canada, and Europe do *not* require a visa for stays up to 30 days. Check with your local embassy if you have questions or come from another country. Tourist Card / Entry Fee: - A Tourist Card is required for all visitors. This is often included in your airfare, but some airlines may require purchase separately (around $10 USD). Health & Safety: - No vaccinations are currently required for entry for most travelers, but it’s recommended to be up to date on routine vaccinations. - Bring any necessary prescription medications in their original labeled containers. Other Tips: - Make photocopies or take pictures of your passport and ID in case of loss. - Keep your passport, boarding passes, and hotel confirmation handy during travel.

Weather: - Expect warm, tropical weather during your stay. - Light, breathable clothing is recommended. - Evenings may be slightly cooler, so a light sweater or shawl can be handy. Time Zone: - The Dominican Republic is in Atlantic Standard Time (AST), which is 1 hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time (EST). Local Customs & Etiquette: - A friendly greeting with a smile goes a long way. - Tipping is customary for service; 10–15% is standard at restaurants if not included. - Dress is casual at the resort, but please adhere to our wedding dress codes for events. ~ Moneda y Pagos: - La moneda local es el peso dominicano (DOP), aunque los dólares estadounidenses son ampliamente aceptados en resorts y áreas turísticas. - Las tarjetas de crédito también son aceptadas en la mayoría de los lugares.
