Question

When is the RSVP deadline and what is the best way to RSVP?

Answer

The deadline RSVP is October 15, 2024. If you do not RSVP by then we will assume you will not be attending. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your room in our room block. Your resort room can be reserved using the following link https://experienceluxetravel.com/allenlepewedding/ and a direct link is also provided under the 'Booking & Travel' tab. We encourage you to book through our room block as soon as possible in order to lock in your room rate worry free. All rooms need to be paid in full by May 15, 2025. This is per the resort contract and cannot be changed. If you would like to utilize making payments, please book as soon as you would like. If you find out before the final payment deadline that you are no longer able to make it, any payments made after the deposit will be returned.

Question

Do we have to stay at Dreams or Secrets Bahía Mita Surf and Spa Resort? Do we have to reserve a room through the room block?

Answer

Yes! All wedding guests must stay at the resort in order to attend the wedding events. A room block has been reserved at discounted rate for your convenience. Please reserve your room through the room block, so that the resort knows that you are apart of our wedding and you can be counted in all wedding events. Unfortunately, if you do not book through the room block, you will not be able to attend the wedding. Our room block information can be booked through the link on the “Booking & Travel” section of our site. If you have any questions or concerns regarding travel, please contact our Travel Agent, Beth Rasor. She can assist you with reserving a room through our room block. She can also assist with flight bookings and reserving round trip shuttle transportation, if desired. Beth is available to our group to ensure everyone's trip is as stress free as possible!

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Absolutley! We are getting married in Mexico and a passport is required to travel. A passport valid until at least April 2026 is required for everyone of all ages. If your passport will expire before April 2026, please renew ASAP. If you or your child do not already have a passport, it's time to order one now. There have been significant delays in passport processing lately. We highly encourage you not to wait, and submit your passport application ASAP. Please do not let procrastination cause you to miss this momentous occasion.

Question

Why a Destination Wedding?

Answer

We know many of you are excited about the idea of destination wedding and a few of you may be feeling disappointed that we didn't choose a location closer to home. We toured several local venues in SoCal and after much discussion we decided that we would rather celebrate our love over the course of several memorable days with our closest friends and family instead of just a few short hours.

Question

I can't attend the wedding in person. Will there be another celebration later in SoCal?

Answer

This will be our only wedding celebration, so we will not be hosting a separate event at a later date. If you find yourself unable to attend our destination wedding, we completely understand. While we would be thrilled to have you celebrate with us, we want you to prioritize what's best for you. We'll be sure to share photos, videos, and updates from the special day so you can still feel connected and be part of our celebration in spirit. If you'd like to send us your well wishes, please feel free to reach out. Your support and love mean the world to us, and we'll be thinking of you on our big day!

Question

Can I bring family or a friend?

Answer

The resort is family friendly and you are more than welcome to have guests accompany you on your trip. However, we are trying to keep the guest list as intimate as possible, so our wedding is invitation only. Only guests who are listed on the invitation can be accommodated at the wedding.

Question

Are children allowed to attend the wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately due to capacity limits, we will only be able to accommodate children who are participating in the wedding ceremony.

Question

What will the weather be like in Puerto Vallarta that time of year?

Answer

It will be fall in California, but still summer weather in Puerto Vallarta. October is on the tail-end of hurricane season in Mexico. Puerto Vallarta is rarely effected by hurricanes, however, the tropical weather is present. Please expect mid 80s- low 90s during the day and mid 70's in the evenings. There will be some humidity as well.

Question

Is there a Dress Code for the wedding events?

Answer

Yes! Please prepare for an All White event and Beach Cocktail attire for the wedding. Please see the ‘Wedding Itinerary’ tab of our website for more details regarding dress code attire for each event.

Question

Will there be any other events to attend during the wedding weekend?

Answer

Yes! Please see the ‘Wedding Itinerary’ tab of our website for more details on our wedding weekend schedule.

Question

What fun excursions and activities are available in Puerto Vallarta?

Answer

Please see the ‘Things To Do’ section of our wedding website for more details! This section will be updated in Summer 2025.

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

Your good wishes and company are more than enough for us, however, we’ve created an online registry for friends and family who have expressed an interest. Since we'll be traveling back to SoCal after the wedding, we kindly request that you do not bring any physical gifts.
