Elad and Leore were first introduced through a mutual friend from Israel. Before meeting in person they had a wonderful phone call lasting two hours. The only catch was Leore lived in Miami and Elad lived in Houston. The first time they met over a long weekend in Miami where Leore invited Elad for Shavuot dinner at her place with friends. They immediately connected and spent the rest of the weekend together. This marked the beginning of the adventurous long distance relationship that was to come.

This adventure took place in California, Leore's home state. Elad and Leore met in San Francisco where they began their road trip in northern Cali. Starting in Napa Valley and Big Sur. Little did Leore know Elad had a surprise up his sleeve for this trip. After a romantic start to the trip, they headed down the Pacific Coast Highway to Santa Barbara. On the way, Elad wanted Leore to be part of the proposal (without her knowing) and told her to pick a scenic spot to watch the sunset. Leore immediately thought of Morro Bay, a picturesque sprawling beach with a giant rock jutting from the water. As they made their way towards the beach, Elad spotted a path leading to the desolate beach just as he had envisioned, where it would be just himself, Leore and God. As they popped open a bottle of wine to "la chaim," Elad looked to find someone to capture his planned sunset proposal. Suddenly, a woman and her child walked by and were asked to document the special moment. As they stood to take a picture, the camera rolled and Elad suddenly got down on one knee to Leore's utter shock and the rest was a blur (for her at least). It is a moment the two will never forget. Where time stopped and it was just two of them at the beach glowing in the sunset light. One of their favorite ways to enjoy the beauty of life.

Elad and Leore both share a deep love for Israel. Elad was born and raised in Petach Tikva and Leore grew up going to Israel, as her family is from Haifa. It only just took the state of Israel asking Elad to move to half way across the world to Texas for both of them to meet! Leore always dreamed of getting married in Israel, her home away from home. A place that is equally as holy as it is beautiful. Israel will always be Elad's first home and now second love (Leore being the first of course). Elad has lived the majority of his life in Israel where many of his friends and family still live. Together it was no question that they would be married in the holy land in a Jewish ceremony next to the Mediterranean Sea. In front of the most beautiful sunset in the world with our loved ones. We feel lucky to get married in the land that is so special and sacred to us. We truly look forward to celebrating our special day with you in Israel.
