We met at a mutual friend's New Year’s Eve Party in 2012. Fast forward two years and Tony messages me to ask whether I knew the name of a new ramen restaurant in Orange County. Our foodie adventures began not long after but since he was in SD and I was in OC, we only spent time on weekends...our Q(uality) T(ime) weekends. Those weekends eventually spilled over to weekdays and we never looked back.

On the morning of September 30, 2017, we woke up very early to hike Cowles Mountain (where we had our first hike together in 2014). I was sleep deprived from the night before since we had a flea scare from our dogs and did not mind skipping the hike but Tony was very insistent. Not having any clue and only thinking about going back to sleep after the hike, I threw on an old t-shirt and some shorts and a pair of sunglasses to hide my makeup-less face. Both Ariza and Basil (our dogs) joined us on the hike as well. As we got to the top, we were all sweaty and exhausted. Tony then got down on his knees to grab some water for our dogs and next thing I knew, he had a ring and asked me to marry him. I said “Yes!”
