Resort Overview

The Riu Dunamar is a lively, family-focused resort with plenty of entertainment and activity. It’s home to several party areas, the weekly Riu Party on Wednesday nights, and the resort’s nightclub. The Riu Palace Costa Mujeres offers a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere that is more focused on adults while still being equally beautiful. Guests staying at the Riu Palace will have full access to the amenities and activities at the Dunamar. Guests staying at the Dunamar will be able to visit the Palace for the wedding celebration. No matter which resort you choose, you’ll be just steps away from the festivities and from celebrating together.

Hotel Riu Dunamar

Located along the beautiful white-sand shores of Costa Mujeres, Riu Dunamar is a vibrant and lively resort perfect for families, couples, and friends looking for a fun tropical getaway. Guests can relax on the stunning beachfront, enjoy the sunshine by one of the resort’s pools, or try a variety of non-motorized water sports. Families will love the RiuLand Kids Club and Splash Water World, the on-site water park featuring exciting water slides for all ages. Riu Dunamar offers a wide variety of dining options with cuisine ranging from Asian specialties to classic steakhouse favourites, along with RIU’s signature all-inclusive experience including unlimited reservation-free dining, welcome cocktails, and mini-bars that are restocked daily. Throughout the day and evening, guests can take part in numerous land and water activities, live entertainment, and themed events including the popular RIU Party featuring live DJs and shows. After a full day of fun, guests can unwind in spacious, comfortable accommodations or enjoy relaxing treatments at the Renova Spa (additional cost).

Hotel Riu Palace Costa Mujeres

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres is an elegant beachfront resort located along the beautiful shores of Playa Mujeres, surrounded by lush palm trees and stunning ocean views. Designed with RIU’s modern architectural style, many areas of the resort offer sweeping panoramic views of the coastline, creating a relaxing and upscale atmosphere. Guests can unwind by one of the sparkling pools, enjoy poolside drink service, or indulge in the resort’s excellent dining options featuring a variety of cuisines including fusion, Japanese, Mexican, and classic steakhouse favourites. The resort offers spacious and comfortable accommodations, including luxurious swim-out suites, along with elevated amenities such as 24-hour room service, nightly turndown service, in-room coffee makers, and a daily champagne breakfast. Guests staying at Riu Palace Costa Mujeres also have access to the facilities and entertainment at the neighbouring Riu Dunamar, including Splash Water World water park and the resort’s nightclub and themed parties, offering the perfect balance of relaxation and fun.

Reservation & Payment Details

Please review the payment schedule for our group booking below. Prices are guaranteed only for guests who have secured their reservation with a deposit before the group release date of April 25, 2026. Guests who wish to join the group after this date may be subject to price increases due to factors outside of our control, including potential fuel surcharges, government taxes or fees, and currency fluctuations. A non-refundable deposit of $250 per person is required at the time of booking to secure your seat and room within the group block. Our travel agent, Julie Sowers, can securely apply payments to your booking at any time between your deposit date and the final payment deadline of November 1, 2026. We encourage guests to book early to ensure availability within our reserved group space. Guests wishing to secure their booking may do so by emailing Julie Sowers at jsowers@trevello.com. We currently have a large number of airline seats on hold as well as a limited block of rooms reserved at each resort for our group. Please keep in mind that some room categories may sell out more quickly than others, as availability in certain categories is limited. Booking early will help ensure you are able to secure your preferred resort and room type.

Guests can pre-book excursions before travel through our group travel agent or at destination with the Sunwing Nexus, choosing from an extensive selection of Sunwing Experiences provided by our preferred partner, NexusTours. For golf enthusiasts, special packages are available at a nearby course exclusively for RIU guests. All guests, whether staying at Riu Dunamar or Riu Palace Costa Mujeres, can join the popular Riu Party events held at the Dunamar, including the White Party and Neon Party on alternate Wednesdays from 7:00–11:00 PM. Families and thrill-seekers staying at Riu Dunamar can enjoy unlimited access to the Splash Water World water park, featuring a variety of exciting slides. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout both resorts, keeping you connected while you relax, play, and celebrate.

Golf Packages & Rates

Golf enthusiasts staying at either Riu Dunamar or Riu Palace Costa Mujeres can enjoy special rates at a nearby championship course. Tee times and fees are as follows: Early Fee (7:00–7:59 AM) US$160, Green Fee (8:00 AM–12:59 PM, 18 holes) US$200, Twilight Fee (after 1:00 PM, 9 holes) US$144, and Junior Fee (ages 12–17, accompanied by an adult) US$70. All packages include food and beverages, a shared golf cart, and unlimited practice balls. Additional services are available for a fee, including club rental (US$65), replay (US$35), and extra non-player riders (US$45). For groups of 12 or more, a group handling charge of US$9 per person applies. Group Terms & Conditions

These Group Terms and Conditions apply in addition to the Sunwing Vacations Website Terms and Conditions. In case of any inconsistency, the Group Terms and Conditions shall take precedence. Sunwing Vacations reserves the right to cancel confirmed group inventory if payment terms or other requirements are not met, and applicable penalties will apply. Requests for bedding, room location, adjoining or connecting rooms are subject to availability and hotel approval and cannot be guaranteed. Sunwing Vacations is not responsible if such requests are denied. Seats or rooms not secured with a deposit or full payment may be released and resold, with no refund for unused or resold inventory. E-documents are typically released 28 days prior to departure once all required information, including payment, is received. Guests are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports and travel documentation; failure to provide proper documentation may result in denied boarding or cancellation of travel without refund. Cancellation and Modification Policy: • Deposit: Non-refundable if canceled up to 60 days prior to departure. • 59 to 21 days prior: 50% of total price is non-refundable. • Less than 21 days prior: 100% of total price is non-refundable.
