Where is Cayucos and how do I get there?

Answer

Cayucos is a quaint little California beach town about 20 minutes north of San Luis Obispo on Highway 1. You can get there by flying into San Luis Obispo airport and then taking an Uber or Lyft to Cayucos. If flying to SLO Airport is too expensive or impossible from your location, you can fly to San Francisco, San Jose, or Los Angeles and take a bus or train the rest of the way to San Luis Obispo.

Where should I stay?

Answer

Depending on your budget, there are a few options. There are numerous campgrounds in Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo, and Cambria. Morro Strand State Beach Campground is closest to Cayucos. There are some great AirBNBs available in Morro Bay and Cayucos, but they are going fast so snatch one before it's too late! There is a range of hotels in Cayucos, Morro Bay, Cambria, or San Luis Obispo (towns listed in order of proximity to the wedding location)

What should I wear?

Answer

This wedding is going to be a retro blast from the past! Keep it classy and semi-formal but let's get groovy. Wear anything you'd like but feel free to throw in some retro bohemian flair. The ceremony is on top of a grassy hill and the area surrounding the barn is dirt and gravel, so please wear appropriate shoes. Summer weather in Cayucos can be highly unpredictable (foggy, windy, chilly, sunny, warm, etc.) so please come prepared and check the weather beforehand.
