Leo and I have always had the same group of friends, but had never met until the fall of 2018. Funny, right? We both went to college up North where we met our lifelong friends, who in turn, introduced us. I knew of Leo, and Leo knew of me, as our friends would say, "You two would be perfect together! But, Leo is quiet and reserved and you are loud and...some times a lot to handle." Leo and I became friends on Facebook, and by strict instruction, I made sure that it was passed on through the grapevine that Leo would need to message me first. Our first date was at Sea Dog in Bangor and later to a bar with friends in the area. Leo was quiet and I was nervous but he was the sweetest man I had yet to meet. Just 6 short months after dating, we moved into a house his best friend, Jake owned. Leo always told me that we would not get engaged until living together for a year. He is methodical and reasonable and I am dramatic and impulsive. I knew he was the man I wanted to marry ever since our first date. After a year had passed, we saved up and bought our first and forever home, here in Hermon, ME. During that time, we brought home our first baby, Asher and then, our second baby, his sister, Tessa who are our entire world. It makes me emotional thinking about the type of father Leo will be to our children as he is such an amazing "doggy" Dad. Leo proposed on August 8, 2020 (my parents wedding anniversary) on Sandy Beach in Stockton Springs. It was just the two of us and one other couple a ways down who clapped for us when Leo got on one knee. It was just as goofy and awkward, just as many of you can picture it, but it was Leo. The wedding planning process has been easy. Leo is the Ying to my Yang and we complete each other. Wedding planning has been fun and this day is going to be a representation of us and our love for eachother. We cannot wait!
