From 9th grade chorus to studying in the student center at Auburn, we’ve been in each other’s lives for a looooong time. Daniel and I were even next door neighbors for a year in Auburn and rode the bus together to campus every other day. I asked Daniel to be my date to a friend’s wedding in April 2019 in Huntsville since he was the one guy I knew in town that I felt comfortable asking. Daniel said after the wedding, “Maybe we can hang out again before another 2 years next time.” I laughed and rolled my eyes and said, “yeah watch me never see him again” on the way to the car. What a lie that was!! I guess you could call that our first date, and I guess you could say I was the one to ask him out... but we had no clue at the time. Our first real date was yet again another wedding, this time a friend of Daniel’s in August of 2019. Although, I think the 8 hour phone calls and video calls lasting all day count as dates. It’s crazy to me how a switch flipped between friends to now. I guess that’s what happens when half of your dates are to friends’ weddings. We’re very thankful to all the people in our lives who have been so encouraging and supportive to us. We are excited to see what the next years have in store for us, because 2019 was definitely a crazy one! P.S. I can’t believe I’m marrying the guy who told me I looked like a librarian when I had to wear my glasses to school one day. Hahaha love you Daniel
Due to a lot of moving pieces like the unfortunate pandemic and actually moving, we have decided to have an immediate family only wedding. We love all of our friends and family and are very grateful that everyone wants to celebrate with us! We just don’t think having a large wedding would fit in right now with everything else going on. Thank you to everyone who has congratulated us and who have reached out about the wedding. We look forward to seeing everyone after things settle down and celebrating with friends and family when we can. We love you all.
