Well lets just say thank goodness for the Facebook algorithm. Soon after moving to New Jersey from California, Sean's first introduction to Lenay was from facebook's "suggested friends". Sean could not ignore a name he had never seen before. He requested Lenay's friendship and she accepted. To both their surprise, they had both lived in California within a 30 mile distance from each other. Only to find each other on the opposite coast, 30 miles apart. Within a short time of talking, Sean knew Lenay was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. "Short time" as in after just 3 hours of getting to know each other, he informed his Mom this girl he was talking to was going to some day be his wife and her daughter in law. Lenay instantly became head over heels for Sean within a couple hours of their first conversation. They arranged to meet in person after 6 months of talking and building a friendship. A month after dating, they made it official, and the rest is history!

A Hamptons Memorial Day weekend is a beloved tradition in Sean and Lenay's relationship, and it now has an even more special memory added to it. For the 2021 trip they brought their good friends Ed and Lindsay. A three day weekend with plans of clamming, fishing, bbq's and trips to the beach, was instead hindered with rain throughout the weekend. This rain did not stop Sean's plan. With a break of rain in the forecast, Sean expressed to Ed, Lindsay and Lenay they had no time to waste for a visit to the Historic Montauk Light House. Now on the beach with the Light House in the background, Sean asks for a photo with Lenay with the help of Ed and Lindsay. At that moment, Sean kneels down on one knee, looking to Lenay, and almost forgets to ask the most important question, but Lenay was quick to remind him. Sean finally asks his beloved soul mate to spend the rest of her life with him. Lenay screams yes as tears of joy and excitement roll down her face.
