Why Livermore?

Answer

Despite it's not so appealing name, Livermore is a city that boasts a beautiful wine country that is relatively close to the Bay Area airports and where Liana's parents live (unlike Sonoma and Napa). It is also nearby the city of Walnut Creek which is a great area for guests to explore, shop, and eat.

What's the weather like?

Answer

The weather in Northern California in October can vary but it is typically still warm (70-80 degrees during the day). Unlike the East Coast, California is very dry which means that it gets cold at night so you will definitely want to bring a jacket. If you are planning on spending time in San Francisco or Oakland, we recommend bringing warm clothes as the fog can make it feel very chilly.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

Answer

Depending on the time of day that you arrive, you should be able to get a ride to the hotel via a ride-sharing app (Uber, Lyft, etc. - they're all based here) for around $50. If you arrive during rush hour traffic (6-10AM & 2-6PM on Monday-Friday *yes 2PM is when people start to leave work here), we recommend taking the BART train directly from SFO or OAK airport to Dublin/Pleasanton and then taking a ride-share from there to the hotel. At the time of writing this, the BART train will take an hour and twenty minutes to get to Dublin/Pleasanton and will cost $12.55 per person. Once you arrive to the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station, you should be able to get a ride-share for around $15 and it will take you 15 minutes to get to the hotel.

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Rental cars in the Bay Area can be very affordable and most rentals allow free cancellation right up until your arrival, so there's no harm in locking in a great rate now. If you plan on sight-seeing, we recommend renting a car. If you only plan to go from the airport to the hotel, using a ride-share to and from is probably the best option. The day of the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, shuttles will be provided to and from the hotel and venues.

Are kids invited?

Answer

At this moment, children are not invited to any of our wedding events unless they are in the wedding party or otherwise specified. If you need a babysitter, please contact Liana and she will provide a list of reliable and recommended babysitters.

What about my dietary restrictions?

Answer

If you have a dietary condition, please contact Len and/or Liana at least 30 days prior to the wedding (no later than September 20th) and we can work with the caterer to accommodate.

What should I wear?

Answer

The attire for our wedding is formal. Ladies should wear formal dresses, and the men should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. Please note that weather permitting, the ceremony and reception will be hosted outside on grass so please keep this in mind during your footwear selection process.

Will breakfast be provided?

Yes! The hotel provides complimentary breakfast throughout the duration of your stay.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are taking place at the same venue, the Purple Orchid Wine Country Resort And Spa. Shuttle will be provided to and from the Hawthorne Suites.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

You are more than welcome to drive to the venue if you will be drinking responsibly and parking is free at the Hawthorne Suites as well at the Purple Orchid Country Resort & Spa. When arriving at the venue, parking is available to the left of the main building.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes! We have a hotel block at the Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham in Livermore. In order to book, please call the hotel at +1 (925) 606-6060 and mention the “Notini – Belvedere Wedding" in order to access the group rate. Please note that we are only able to block off twenty rooms at a time so if there are none available when you call, please let us know and we will reach out to the hotel to add additional rooms.
