Lena was introduced to Hunter by her brother at World Outreach Church. That night Christian artist, Phil Wickham, performed his concert. After they shook hands for the first time, both of them were head over heels for the other! She says it must’ve been his wavy brown hair, and he says it was her diamond blue eyes, but looking back, both of them agreed it was the friendship they built that has truly made their love grow!

That evening Hunter picked up Lena from work. She had a hunch that something was going on, so she got “all dolled up” just in case! They went to a fancy dinner and after, went to The Fountains where they walked through the sparkling Christmas lights. Beforehand, Hunter had connected his phone to a nearby speaker. They danced as Hunter played the three songs they danced to on their first date. Finally, the song that was most special to the both of them played. The moment had arrived. Hunter dropped to one knee, spoke a few precious words, and… Lena said YES!
