We met at a Karate workout held by Chris' brother, who happens to be my Karate Sensei. After making it obvious we were interested in one another, Chris planned our first date to be at Brookfield Zoo. The following month we began dating and here we are 8 years later :)

It was the first nice day of summer, so we decided to have our token 'Stay-Cation' in downtown Chicago. After work, we walked to and through Millennium Park before our evening dinner reservations. While sitting in the butterfly gardens at the park, we reflected on the happiness we were sharing in that moment and talked about forever adventures together. He turns away to his backpack and begins by saying, "speaking of forever...". Naturally all composure was lost, I smacked Chris from excitement and caused him to bobble a bit while getting down to one knee. It was a very fitting proposal for us. We are excited to celebrate our forever story with you! See you in Woodstock!
