Things To Do

We are so excited to share some of our favorite restaurants and activities with you. If you need any recommendations, please don't hesitate to ask! We also recommend checking out the Sun Valley website for their list of events and activities - https://www.sunvalley.com/things-to-do/ We recommend making reservations via Resy or OpenTable for dining as summer is a busy time in Ketchum!

Restaurants

The Kneadery

260 North Leadville Avenue, Ketchum, ID 83340

Good breakfast spot but definitely gets busy. They have a full breakfast and lunch menu, fun mimosa flavors, and lots of western decor.

Wrapcity

180 Main Street South, Ketchum, ID 83340

Great spot for a quick, delicious and hearty wrap. Good for breakfast or lunch!

Lefty's Bar & Grill

231 6th Street East, Ketchum, ID 83340

This is one of our go to spots for a cold one and some good bar food. A popular spot for the 4pm after ski crowd!

Grumpy's

860 Warm Springs Road, Ketchum, ID 83340

Local institution for a schooner of beer along with a decent burger. Don't forget to ask for fry sauce!

Bigwood Bread Bakery & Cafe

271 Northwood Way, Ketchum, ID 83340

Bigwood Bread is located near Warm Springs and we would recommend biking/driving there or visiting their sister restaurant Wildflour which is in town.

Enoteca

300 North Main Street, Ketchum, ID 83340

Fantastic dinner option for Italian food and wood fired pizza.

Pioneer Saloon

320 North Main Street, Ketchum, ID 83340

This is a Ketchum institution! aka The Pio. Home to the best Idaho potato. We recommend ordering the Jim Spud. They don't take reservations so get there early or put your name in and head to Sun Valley Wine Bar, Cellar Bar, or Warfield while you wait.

Sun Valley Wine Company

360 Leadville Avenue, Ketchum, ID 83340

Cool spot for wine and snacks!

Casino Bar

220 North Main Street, Ketchum, ID 83340

A piece of Ketchum history. The Casino was established in 1936. While you cannot gamble here, you can definitely enjoy the strongest drinks in town!

The Cellar Pub

400 Sun Valley Road, Ketchum, ID 83340

Casual bar serving American bar food and good drinks. It also has a shuffleboard!

Things to Do

Hiking

There are some great hikes in the area. Pioneer Cabin, Proctor Mountain, Baker Lake, Adams Gulch, White Clouds, and more!

Mountain Biking

Great Mountain Biking trails as well! Plenty of rides from in town or up towards Galena Lodge for more.

Sun Valley Bike Path

Sun Valley, ID 83353

The Wood River Trail is a 20+ mile paved path through Bellevue, Hailey, Ketchum, and Sun Valley. We highly recommend renting an bike (e-bikes are also available!) to venture around town and explore. You can rent bikes from Sturtevants (on Main Street)!

Bald Mountain

ID 83340

If you're looking for an active (hiking) or leisurely (gondola) day, this is a great option with beautiful views of Sun Valley.

Golf

There are a few good golf courses in Sun Valley including Sun Valley Golf Club, Elkhorn Golf Club, and Bigwood Golf Club.

Beer Fest

If you were looking to kill the day drinking beer and wandering the streets...

Fly Fishing

Fly fishing is a popular summer activity in Idaho - there are a number of places that offer fly fishing guides including Lost River Outfitters.

Frenchman's Hot Springs

We recommend driving to this location from town. While there are a number of hot springs in the Sun Valley area, this one is easy to get to and beautiful. Just head towards Warm Springs and keep on driving. Eventually you will see a sign for Frenchman's!

Stanley

Stanley, ID 83278

If you want to go on a day adventure, check out Stanley, Idaho. It is an incredibly small town, but the drive is gorgeous. Along the way, you can stop at Galena Lodge for a bloody mary, Red Fish lake for some cold but stunning lake activities, and wind up in Stanley where there is a great bakery, lots of hot springs, and even white water rafting.

Sawtooth Gathering Music Festival

An international array of musicians is slated to perform at the 10th annual Sawtooth Valley Gathering from June 19-22 in Stanley. The outdoor mountain music festival will feature four days and nights of music, offering camping to festival pass holders in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. The festival is known for its variety of musical genres, including Americana, bluegrass, country, rock ā€˜n’ roll, folk, funk, soul and electronica.
