Clay and Megan met at young adults Bible study at Mission church. Megan, in her curiosity to this new face, whispered to Clay "psst, what's your name?!" Clay introduced himself. They connected over a silly game with friends, realizing they had much in common, from similar Instagram handles, to their love for thrifting! Clay ended up asking Megan to go thrifting with him and later on, she agreed. They enjoyed a few friendly hang outs before they each realized they had found their best friend. Depth grew with each conversation, meal, and thrifting adventure. Clay began to mention a trip out to Hawaii for his sister Ella's high school graduation, and with excitement, the two planned on going out to meet the Lemons in May 2024. Clay and Megan's time in Hawaii was filled with much joy and reassurance as to where God was leading them. They returned to Phoenix encouraged, and continued growing both as individuals and together. As weeks and months went by, it was evident to Clay and Megan just how much they each spurred one another on - challenging and complementing the other, bringing out exactly who God called each of them to be. They were both finding the best version of themself through God's workmanship of the other person. Not only that, but they were each seeing a new side of God neither had known before outside of that person. Clay and Megan knew. With much prayer, they waited for what the Lord had to say, and moved in confidence towards what they felt Him calling: marriage! Here we are today saying we have NO idea how we got here, other than, God is good! And He has good plans for His sons and daughters! We love gazing at Him day in and day out as He leads us along paths of righteousness - the good works He designed for us to walk in long ago. Our marriage is nothing without Him or apart from Him. We exist to love Him and His people, and to make disciples of Him. Thus our marriage is a beautiful tool we get to utilize and delight in, for exactly that. Join us for the ride! Who knows what God has in store! No matter what it looks like, we know and love the One writing it. We look forward with full expectation and zero capacity, absolutely no limitation to what God wants to do in and through us. We simply say, "here we are!" "We have become his poetry, a recreated people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each os us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!" - Ephesians 2:10 (TPT)
