Our wedding era

Cooper proposed at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort in Colorado on February 11, 2024 — a moment that still feels like a dream. It was Mardi Gras Break in New Orleans, so my sister Emma flew in to visit us in Colorado. We had planned a few little adventures to make her trip extra special — snowboarding and relaxing at Mount Princeton Hot Springs. Cooper already knew how to snowboard, so he hit the slopes while Emma and I took a beginner’s class. After many (many) falls — mostly me — we finally built up the confidence to ride down the bunny slopes on our own. Cooper joined us once our lesson was over, but by then, we were all ready to relax and unwind. Plus, the ski lifts closed at 4 pm anyway. We made our way over to the hot springs resort, ready to soak our tired muscles. As we walked toward the hot springs, we crossed this beautiful, whimsical bridge. I remember thinking, “I wish I could take a picture here… but honestly, I just want to get in that water!” One of the workers mentioned the hot springs area would close around 8:00 pm. We soaked in the natural spring water for hours — the most relaxing way to end a snowy mountain day. Eventually, we got out, changed, and headed to the fine dining restaurant nearby. Once we were seated, we ordered appetizers and drinks. That’s when Cooper casually said, “Let’s go take a picture by the hot springs before they close.” In my mind… I knew something was up. Cooper led us straight to that same whimsical bridge that caught my attention earlier — the one that made me feel like I had stepped into a fairytale. Emma offered to take our picture… but little did I know, she was secretly recording the whole thing. The bridge sparkled with twinkling fairy lights… The sound of the creek flowed softly beneath us… The moon and stars lit up the Colorado sky… And there… on that magical little bridge… Cooper asked: “Will you do me the biggest honor on the face of the Earth… and be the wife of my dreams? Will you marry me?” And of course… I said yes! ✨💍
