I met Jonathan through my best friend and his best friend, Alex Cartwright and Cody Barr, who at the time were dating and wanted us both so badly to meet. Back in March of 2021, I remember FaceTiming Alex while she was with Cody and saying to him, “Cody do you have any nice guy friends for Nicole?” Cody then spoke up and said, “Yeah my best friend Jon.” The next night we all video chatted through Facebook messenger. After the call was over I waited and waited for Jonathan to add me on Facebook. Days went by and I said something to Alex about it and she sneakingly sent him my Snapchat. On my phone popped up, “Jonathan Ashworth added you as a friend.” Let’s just say I was VERY giddy. We snap chatted for a whole month before Jonathan was brave enough to give me his cell phone number. I remember video chatting with Alex, Cody, and Jonathan, saying we all were going to come to Miami to see him. Well it didn’t really work out and I was bummed, but Jonathan made it clear he still wanted to see me. May 20, 2021 was Jonathan’s birthday and also the first time we ever met in person. We went two months texting and FaceTiming all day and night, up to 9 hours on the phone sometimes, until we got to finally meet eachother. We did long distance for almost two years now. We’ve flown back and forth to see eachother one or two times a month and here we are; engaged and moving to Colorado Springs together in November 2022! We are so excited to see where life takes us from here and happy to have our families by our side every step of the way!❤️❤️
