Things To Do

Below are some of our favorite things we enjoyed in Houston. Google Map link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/veqGKXAw33y6NRYk9

Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park

2800 Post Oak Boulevard, Houston, TX 77056

This is the location for our first date. We had a nice picnic dinner with wine

Chinatown

11200 Bellaire Boulevard, Houston, TX 77072

We love the food here in Houston! Houston boasts a large and vibrant Asian community, with the second-largest Indochinese population in the United States, behind Los Angeles. The neighborhood includes six square miles of shopping, eating and attractions.

Houston Museum District

4912 Main Street, Houston, TX 77002

The Museum District is Houston’s cultural heart, with the association of 19 museums, galleries, cultural centers and community organizations that is dedicated to promoting art, science, history and culture. Plenty of museums within walking distance! We went to the Cockrell Butterfly Center on our 3rd date! Beautiful butterflies and plants! We also went to Burke Baker Planetarium, located in the Houston Museum of Natural Science to see the Dark Side of the Moon.

Hermann Park

6001 Fannin Street, Houston, TX 77030

This is Lisa’s favorite park to run and explore in Houston. This urban park spans 445 acres which includes the Japanese Gardens, McGovern Centennial Gardens and the Cherie Flores Garden Pavilion, Miller Outdoor Theatre, golf course, Houston Zoo, and McGovern Lake. *Tip: Best place to park is in Lot C

Space Center Houston

1601 East Nasa Parkway, Houston, TX 77058

We are total nerds! We went here for our 5th date. Lisa loves hearing Chris explain mechanical engineering marvels. Chris is so smart

Houston Murals

There are about 750 murals and art installations throughout the Greater Houston area.

Texas Renaissance Festival

21997 Farm to Market 1774, Todd Mission, TX 77363

During this time of year, there is an annual Renaissance northwest of Houston. It is the nation’s largest Renaissance theme park which spans 55 acres of land. Each of the nine weekends of the festival take on a different theme, influencing the performances, costumes, food, drink, art, shops, contests, and games throughout the festival grounds.
