Porto is famous for their port wine cellars, that are all in Vila Nova de Gaia. There are a number of different ones that include museum tours and tasting.
On the Vila Nova de Gaia side of the bridge (side we are staying on), there's a giant hill, where people sit and enjoy the sunset view of Porto. There's usually live music as well!
Walk around the gardens, filled with herds of peacocks.
A market with many different vendors, go here to explore different foods, wines and shops. You can grab a glass of wine and wander the market.
Visit this famous library (go early, the lines are long). Fun Fact: JK Rowling lived in Porto when writing Harry Potter and was inspired by this library for Hogsmeade and Hogwarts. You need to buy tickets in advance.
Walk around the district down by the water to explore the different artisan tents and enjoy a drink.
