We happen to be so blessed and fortunate to be highschool sweet hearts although we have experienced life without each other after highschool, we still got that good thing and we know exactly why we are destined to be together Forever, for ever, ever!
On December 28, 2010 I gave birth to our handsome youngest son Ayden. Ayden became another one of our biggest blessings after all the excitement of his arrival. I thought all the excitement was over, little did I know papa bear had something up his sleeve. We arrived home with the baby and settled in. The next day comes and popsey says, everybody wants to come see Ayden. A little irritable I say, ok sure! Our Family arrive by the car loads and I thought ok, they all just wanted to see the baby so I gave popsey the baby and went to our bedroom and shut my door and laid on my bed with an attitude while I could hear him and all my family laughing in the front room. My sister knocks on my bedroom door and says your being rude to your guest and I look at her like........ What? Are you kidding me, why would all yall come over here all together knowing I literally just had a baby yesterday. Well she laughs and says well while your being The grinch let me fix your hair and put some lip gloss on. At this point I’m extremely irratated so I tell them I was going to sleep. Popsey then comes into the bedroom and says, I’m sorry babe they just all wanted to see Ayden and start a new Tradition were each family puts an ornament on the tree signifying their love and marriage oh then I’m super upset because why does this require me. So I get up and go to the front room everyone is smiling. They all hang their ornament and then my nephew turns to me and says here Auntie heres yours. On the ornament reads Will you Marry me? I instantly become excited and the rest is history.
Gods timing is always the best! We had been engaged for two years with life happening so rapidly there was no room a wedding. We knew God wanted to use us and bless us according to his plan and he needed us to move according to his to do so. On December 25, 2012. We called our Pastor Anthony D. Carpenter and asked if it was possible if he meet us to Marry us at the church, he said today? We chuckled and replied yes today whenever is good for you? He said ok. Well, I will meet you guys at the church when I get off work. Bring a wintness. We immediately started calling family members telling them to meet us at the church because we’re getting married. Well, no one believed us so we had to go pick them up, after we had a few it was evident that we were serious and heading to the church. We get a ton of phone calls and Yaaayyyy everyone is headed to the church! Everyone gets to the church and we realize the love is real because there was wrapped hair, footed pajamas, the fresh smell of my mama floyds fried chicken on everyone that was in the house. Yum! I’m getting hungry thinking about it. We went on with the wedding and boom there’s The Floyds! Although this was a joyous occasion the main event for me was having my father present and because he truly is The Killa in all aspects of this hunting life, he says ya’ll married kinda now anyway, I planned on going fishing. I’m happy for ya’ll and proud of you. I will take ya’ll to dinner when I see the new Floyds! Lol ok, daddy! This is s blessing for me to be able to have my father walk me down the isle! Cant wait!!
