FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Sooner is better, but we would prefer a month in advance at the latest which would be by 2/7/2026. I believe the catering vendors we are looking at and the venue we have booked require a 1 month or 2 weeks final headcount before the wedding date.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

The registries will be available from this website on the registry page. We are registered at amazon.com and will create a registry for a place that has physical locations so that anyone who wants to shop in person or pick something up once they get into town can do so. Just let us know if you do so we can take it off the registry list and prevent duplicate gifts. We will update the information on this site as soon as we have another registry set up.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

As of now 4:30 seems to be the start time for the ceremony and it is best to be parked and ready to head to the venue at least 10 minutes early to get to the venue and get settled in before the ceremony starts, but I will update everyone as needed.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Overall dress code is formal attire such as Sunday best or black tie attire preferably. We will preferably have a color scheme with the Bridesmaids wearing light purple or dusky purple and the Groomsman will be matching the Grooms attire color if possible. Just avoid wearing plain white dresses and be careful of the grass if you are wearing heels for safety reasons.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Anyone that is invited is allowed to bring a date or plus one. This does not count against bringing immediate family members or children that will be going with you. Just try to include plus one(s) in your rsvp if possible. If you have any other questions or concerns related to bringing a plus one feel free to ask the bride and groom or anyone that can contact them directly and we will get back to you.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are welcome. Just because we need a headcount and we might need to know for catering purposes let us know how many people are coming in your party and whether any party members are under 3 years old.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

I made sure to include hotel recommendations on this website. There are 3 recommendations for each city relevant to this event: (where the bride and groom reside) Marietta, Ga; (where the rest of the family residing in the area lives) Alpharetta, Ga; and (where the wedding venue is located) Lela's Place Wedding and Event Center. The hotels vary in rating, price, and location however I did not include any place with really bad ratings and primarily focused on 3.6 and higher ratings with moderate to lower prices.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely. I can try to work with the caterer if there are any special dietary or allergy issues/needs. You'll have to let us know sooner than later and we can see if we can work something out with the catering vendor.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will all be at Lela's place in Peachtree City and it has both off street parking and a small parking lot. It would be best to car pool where possible to make sure that everyone has enough parking just in case but there should be enough for everyone that needs parking with some car pooling.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

So far there is no particular transport from the hotels to the ceremony and it is likely that the wedding party will be split between several different hotels due to differing needs. However, if someone needs transportation we can work together to make sure everyone has a ride too and from the ceremony.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Nothing is set in stone yet but it looks like there will be a bachelor and bachelorette party with the groomsman and bridesmaids separately however they will be laid back events. Also, a potential rehearsal dinner is being considered for the night before the wedding for friends and family to catch up, eat together, and get any import last minute information. It has not been planned yet but more information will follow.
