Maid of Honor
When Taylor and Isabella were 17, they made an Unbreakable Vow that they would be each other's MOH and it has been the best decision they have ever made. As they approach 23 years of friendship, their love for one another has only been strengthened through their love of Harry Potter, their dogs, and the need to have a clean house. Taylor and Leland were chemistry lab partners the first semester of college at South Dakota State University (Go Jacks!) where they became fast friends. Leland, Taylor, and Isabella became part of the same friend group that studied countless hours in the Union, survived anatomy and physiology, and ate way too many tater tots. After all their graduate programs are done, they are planning a trip to Mexico.
Best Man
Derek and Leland met when Derek’s mom accidentally signed him up for softball instead of baseball upon moving to Brandon. The “mistake” was fortuitous as the two quickly became friends. Many childhood nights were spent playing wiffle ball, grinding Call of Duty until 3 AM in the 7th avenue basement, and antagonizing the Murren family cat (RIP Fuzzy). The relationship continued into adulthood, where Derek met Isabella. Soon after, the two of them began bonding over the Bachelor Nation franchise and their favorite analytical game-play podcast, Game of Roses. Leland, Derek, Jenna (Derek’s wife), and Isabella have formed a quartet of game night competitors and travel partners. They are already planning and looking forward to their next travel destination.
Bridesmaid
Deanna and Isabella met on the dance team junior year when Deanna transferred to Roosevelt High School. They became nearly inseparable after a Jimmy John’s lunch date and the rest is history. They spent high school nights dancing at basketball games, having Harry Potter marathons, and taking too many embarrassing photos that have now been archived on Facebook. After graduation, Deanna moved to Texas to attend Abilene Christian University where she met the love of her life, Shay. For many friendships, this would have been the end. 977 miles between friends would be daunting for some, but after nearly a decade in Texas the two are closer than ever. Taylor and Isabella make any excuse to visit and have been to see Deanna in Texas more times than Deanna has been back to South Dakota.
Groomsman
Nick is Isabella’s younger brother, although when they were kids she tried to convince everyone that they were twins. Her childhood memories are filled with cheering loudly for Nick on the sidelines of his soccer games, playing Snowboarding Kids 2, watching Lord of the Rings, and summers spent at Wild Water West. As many siblings do, they have had their disagreements — but if you ask Isabella, no one makes her laugh as hard as Nick does. Leland and Nick share in their love of Old Fashioneds and Nick has fondly nick named Leland, “the Lumberjack.” Nick currently lives in Sioux Falls with his girlfriend, Taylor and their Akita Inu, Saké.
Bridesmaid
Macy was Leland’s sister first, but Isabella has been claiming her as her sister for years. Macy was the first Murren to make Isabella feel like part of the family. She has been a constant support through the years and it is such an honor for Isabella and Leland to share a wedding year with Macy and her new husband, Dylan. Leland, Isabella, Macy, and Dylan enjoy spending time at the river tubing, fishing, and playing yard games. She currently works for the SD DANR in Fort Pierre, SD where she lives with her husband, Dylan and her animals, Boone, Willy, and Smokey.
Groomsman
Charles is Isabella’s older brother and longstanding hero. When the Twin Towers fell in 2001, Charles was newly enlisted in the Marines and served two tours in the Middle East. To his 7-year-old sister, he was the walking definition of a hero while at the same time as being a “walking talking poke in the eye.” She has fond memories of him singing ballads, designing / painting her Pinewood derby car, and more recently indulging in his cooking adventures. Charles currently works as a mortgage loan officer in Sioux Falls and lives with his 7-year-old son, Isaac.
Usher
Ryan and Leland met when Leland was born — Ryan was like an older brother. They played cops and robbers, hunted everything, and did their best to give their moms grey hair. Leland and Ryan both ended up at SDSU and graduated as nurses, albeit 8 years apart. Ryan currently lives in Hecla, South Dakota with his wife Lyndse and their two kids, Dylan and Carly. He enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling, and remodeling his new house.

Dylan came into Isabella and Leland’s lives by way of Macy, Leland’s sister. He and Macy started dating in late 2019 and due to distance and the pandemic, Dylan didn’t meet Isabella and Leland in person until summer of 2020. By that point, they had more FaceTime conversations than they could count and felt like old friends. Dylan currently holds the Murren family’s annual “largest walleye” trophy and plans to win it again this year. He works as a South Dakota Conservation Officer in Fort Pierre, SD where he lives with his new wife Macy and their animals, Boone, Willy, and Smokey. Isabella is excited to join Dylan as an “official” outlaw.

Alix and Isabella met while they were both working as hosts at Olive Garden during high school and college. They bonded over their love of dance, sassy attitudes, and stealing the best fries from the kitchen window.Over the years, they have been there through every life stage from break-ups to marriages, graduation to grad school, moving to brand new babies. Alix currently lives in Dell Rapids with her husband Tanner, dogs (Kayvon and Rizzo), and their new baby girl, Parker. Isabella loves playing auntie to both her fur nephews and Parker Jean. They can’t wait to raise their babies on Olive Garden breadsticks and take their dogs on all the mountain hikes.

Isabella first met Carly through the Miss South Dakota organization in 2016. She was singing one of Isabella’s favorite Carrie Underwood songs — We’re Young & Beautiful. This was a friendship that came naturally and has only continued to grow throughout the years. Many roadtrips harmonizing, very late night impromptu sleepovers, and Bachelor nights have formed the backbone of this friendship. Carly taught Isabella that an outfit is never complete without a good lip color and is Isabella’s number one go-to for car karaoke and dance parties. Isabella always says that Carly is not only a Goodhart, but a great heart.

Megan and Isabella met while they were competing for Miss South Dakota in 2016. Megan was strong, fierce, and independent. They stood next to each other in line and eventually became each other’s shoulder to lean on and would not have made it through the week without each other. Although they are most often standing next to each other in beautiful gowns — first Miss South Dakota, then Megan’s wedding, and now Isabella’s wedding — they know that they will be standing next to each other for the rest of their lives. Megan currently lives in Rapid City, South Dakota with her husband Patrick and their two black labs.

The best way to describe Kaylee and Isabella's friendship is that they have been friends longer than they haven't. They met during a 6th grade class picture and have gone through every stage of life side-by-side -- middle school, high school, nursing school, their first and second nursing jobs, and starting their first jobs as nurse practitioners. Kaylee recently started work as a gastrointestinal nurse practitioner at Avera in Sioux Falls and got engaged to the love of her life, Camden.
