FAQs

Question

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

Sorry, no. We intentionally chose to make this a 21+ event.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The earliest you can arrive is 4 PM. If you don't know Katie, you can expect the ceremony to start right at 4:30 PM. If you're not early, you're late.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We prefer no jeans or hats. The vibe is Garden Party! We're going for festive cocktail attire: think a balance between elegant and comfortable and fancy and pared-back. Ladies, no need for long dresses but feel free to make a bold statement! Men, you'll be overdressed in a tux but show us what you got! Florals for Spring, groundbreaking!! (IYKYK)

Question

Will there be a shuttle or a transfer to the ceremony/reception?

Answer

We will not have transportation available. The venue is walkable from our recommended hotel and a short Uber/Lyft ride away from nearby hotels.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

While we highly encourage you to Uber or Lyft for ease and safety, there will be paid parking available at 225 E Chicago Street Parking Garage. 2-Hour street parking is also available in Milwaukee and usually becomes free after 6 PM.

Question

Do I need to rent a car while in Milwaukee?

Answer

You definitely do not! Especially if staying downtown, everything is easily accessible with Uber and Lyft.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Obviously, we won't know for sure but late May in Milwaukee is typically in the 60s but can also be as high as in the 80s. The ceremony is scheduled to be outside barring any rain, so please dress accordingly.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our invitations will specifiy the individual people invited to the wedding.

Question

What time should I plan to go home?

Answer

Bring your dancing shoes, people. And if you're not already from Milwaukee, be prepared to learn what A-bar is! We'll be partying late into the night/early AM, so plan accordingly!

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Duh. An open bar will be available throughout the evening. But, as always, please make sure you've planned for a safe ride home.

Question

Any advice on shoes?

Answer

No need to be concerned about grass. Just make sure you can 1) dance in your shoes or 2) take them off and dance barefoot.
