FAQs

Below are a few FAQ's that might add clarity to any concerns or queries you may have. I know that for some this is a big trek so, please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you are unsure about something.
Question

How do we get to the wedding venue from Dublin?

Answer

Ethan and Leina will be providing a bus from Dublin City Center to The Clonabreany House. The best way to get around Dublin is to walk, or take public transit around the city center. Please note that if you are planning on renting a car, you are driving on the opposite side of the road. If you are driving, make sure that you request an automatic from the car rental company if you do not drive stick shift. Stick shift cars are the standard in Europe and automatics are not. It also might be nice to offer a ride to other people attending the wedding, if you are able to.

Question

Where is the nearest town to the wedding venue?

Answer

The nearest town is Kells, Co. Meath and is about 10 minutes from the venue. If you want to trek into town, we can have the staff call a taxi for you. If you've rented a car, feel free to come and go as you please.

Question

What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

The wedding will be black tie, formal with vintage vibes. Think Great Gatsby or fancy cocktail attire. If you need assistance or confirmation on if your attire is suitable, reach out to us! I highly advise carrying your tux or gown onto the plane instead of checking it, in the event that your luggage gets lost or misplaced. Question

What will the weather be like at this time of year?

Answer

The weather in Ireland is ever changing. You could come in contact with heavy rain quickly followed by sunny skies. Temperatures in September hover around the mid 50's and can drop to high 40's at night. Bring layers, an umbrella in case of showers and suitable shoes for walking around while sight seeing.

Question

Where will the Ceremony and Reception be held?

Answer

All the pre-wedding celebrations, ceremony and reception will be held at The Clonabreany House. Once you arrive, you won't have to go to any other venue.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be held inside or outside?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outside (weather permitting). If you get chilly, please bring a shawl or light jacket to cover up. The reception will be held under the grand marquee which will be temperature controlled during the event.

Question

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

Food and drinks will be provided during the entire wedding celebration. This includes dinner and a late night snack during the Welcome Event on 9/20, at The Clonabreany House. On our wedding day, we will be offering a light lunch before the ceremony. During the reception, we will be having a 4 course sit down dinner and a late night snack. The options for you to choose from will be located in your wedding invite and you will commit to your option in the RSVP. There will be a vegetarian option to accommodate those with dietary restrictions. If you have any other restrictions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We want to make sure that you are as comfortable as possible during the event.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

You will be RSVPing for all the events on our website. Please send your response at your earliest convenience with a due date of May 1, 2022. Invitation coming soon, along with the ability to RSVP on this website. While we know that this type of wedding takes some planning on your end, we hope that we have given you enough notice to request time off and consider the costs associated with this trip. If you can't attend, we totally understand! You will be missed and we look forward to getting together to share our stories and pictures with you once we return.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. We would like to keep this two day event to adults only. There has been an exception made for those of you who will have infants. If you intend on traveling with your children to Ireland, please make sure you have come prepared or have booked childcare for these two days. Feel free to contact Leina and Ethan if you have any additional questions or need childcare recommendations.

Answer
