Leilani & Terence met in 2013 in English class while they were both enrolled at the first degree granting historically black college/university, Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. They instantly hit it off and became friends while working together on group projects and other class assignments. As time progressed, they were both involved in various organizations on campus and only ran into one another once in a while. During the Spring semester of 2015, they rekindled their friendship and began hanging out more often. When the semester ended, they kept in touch through phone calls and text messages; still, only as friends. When the Fall semester of 2015 began, Terence and Leilani began casually dating and by January 2016 they were inseperable. They bonded over the love they both have for their families, visions of the future, and were supportive of each other’s goals and achievements. On April 9, 2016, Terence asserted his love and claimed Leilani as his girlfriend. They supported each other for the remainder of their college experience and were excited to continue growing together as a couple through adulthood. After graduation in May of 2017, Leilani and Terence worked through the struggles and growing pains of adulthood. The best part about their relationship was the strong foundation of friendship that was build prior to their romantic relationship. They went from seeing each other every day in college to living in different states and consistently commuting to spend time together for three years, and it was all worth it! On January 9, 2021 Terence proposed to Leilani at their residence, accompanied by a few close friends. They can’t wait to celebrate their love with family and friends on April 10, 2022!♥️
