When you enter the venue, you’ll be invited to check your phone in the coat room. Phones will be stored in hanging organizers with individual pockets, and you’ll receive a stub so you can easily retrieve yours later. A professional security guard (a kind, attentive colleague from Josh’s synagogue) will be there to watch over everything. Prefer to Keep Your Phone? No problem! If you’d rather keep your phone with you, we’ll provide a small drawstring pouch and ask that you turn it off for the duration of the wedding day festivities. Driving? You’re also welcome to leave your phone safely locked in your car if that’s more convenient. Thank you for helping us create a warm, connected atmosphere. We promise there will be plenty of photos—and even more memories.
No problem at all. You are welcome to use your phone outside of the main rooms where the party is taking place. When you're done, you can return your phone to the coat room, or turn it off again and return it to its sleeping bag.
We know the majority of our loved ones will resist the urge to photograph during the ceremony or check social media during the party. But we also know from experience that, even when asked, the temptation to photograph the bride (she will be beautiful!) or look up that detail you are discussing will be strong. This just helps us all stay in the same mental space and fully enjoy the moment, together.
Yes! Just not with your phones! We’re so glad you asked. In addition to the professional photography team, there will be disposable cameras for you to enjoy documenting moments throughout the cocktail hour and reception. Following the event, we will digitize and share them with you.
We’ve got you covered. Our event coordinator will have her phone and know where to find you. You can share her number with anyone who may need to reach you—we’ll provide it closer to the big day.
