We first met at a Northwood vs. Pinewood basketball game at Northwood in January 2020. During the game, we stepped out of the gym with a group of friends and only exchanged a quick “hello.” Little did Noah know that I’d already had a small crush on him ever since his Groomsman, Sheldon, told me about him a month earlier in December 2019. After that brief encounter in the Northwood parking lot, we didn’t see each other again until July 2020, when we crossed paths at a friend’s house for a summer beach day. That’s when we finally exchanged Snapchats, how romantic, right? We texted on and off for a while, until September 2020, when we started spending more time together. After a month of hanging out, Noah officially asked me out on October 3rd, 2020. Since then, we haven’t spent much time apart. Through all the highs, lows, and everything in between, we’ve stood by each other’s side, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We can't wait for October 3rd to be our date in every lifetime and can't wait to begin this new chapter together!
On October 3rd, 2024—a date already close to our hearts as our fourth anniversary—Noah made the day even more unforgettable. He told me that my Maid of Honor, Lindsay, wanted to take some anniversary photos to celebrate the milestone, so I thought nothing of it. We spent the afternoon wandering through the stunning grounds of Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, taking in the scenery and simply enjoying being together. Eventually, we stopped beneath a row of trees, where Noah pulled out a folded note. As he began to read it aloud, I thought it was just the sweetest anniversary gesture. But before I could fully take it in, he reached down into his boot, pulled out a ring box, and dropped to one knee. In that instant, everything changed for us in the most perfect way. Since that moment, we’ve been filled with so much gratitude, knowing that God brought us together nearly six years ago because He knew exactly how much we would need each other. Now, we get to say “I do” at the very place where our forever began and on the same day that everything began.
