Where is the ceremony and reception?

What time should I arrive at the venue?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 5:30 pm. Cocktail hour and reception to follow.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Ceremony and reception will be held indoors. Cocktail hour will have indoor/outdoor seating options, weather permitting.

What is the best way to get to the venue?

Answer

We recommend utilizing Uber, Lyft or taxi services for transportation to and from the venue. Both hotels with room blocks are 10 minutes from the venue. If you are staying at one of our preferred hotels - Uber voucher codes have ben provided for you in your welcome bags!

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Formal attire. We love an excuse to get a little fancy! For men, we suggest a dark suit with a shirt and tie - tuxedos are also welcomed if preferred! For women, we suggest floor-length gowns, knee-length or midi cocktail dresses, a pantsuit, or dressy separates.

Where should I reserve a hotel room?

Answer

We have room blocks at the Renaissance New York Chelsea Hotel and Hyatt Place New York/Chelsea. Our block rates are available for Thursday and Friday night. To reserve your room, visit our "Travel" page for a clickable link or call the hotel directly - make sure to mention McCarthy/Milligan wedding for the block rate. These hotels are around the block from one another.

Do I have to stay at one of the recommended hotels?

Is there parking available near the venue?

Answer

Use of public transportation is encouraged, however, if you require parking here are some options! Both of our recommended hotels have parking via valet - please inquire with your booked hotel for 24 hour rates. We also recommend investigating NYC parking garages for competitive parking rates. The Lighthouse will also have limited valet parking available - please reach out to us for more information if you are interested in parking at the venue for the wedding.
