Blue Water Manor

This is where the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will be! There is a block of rooms reserved here for wedding guests. Call the number above and ask for Sarah, and tell them you are a part of the Warner/Yarboro wedding! These wedding block rooms are available at a discount, with a two night minimum (compared to their usual three). Once those wedding rate rooms fill up, you will still be able to book any of their other available rooms with their normal rates and their usual three night minimum. Deadline to book at these wedding block rooms is July 1, 2021.

Other Hotels in the Area

If Blue Water Manor fills ups, there are TONS of hotels in the area with various price points and minimum number of nights. Here are a few other suggestions: -The North Lodge at Blue Water Manor: this is the sister property to Blue Water Manor. These motel style rooms are located about a mile down the road from BWM, and within walking distance of Rainbow Beach (where the Sunday Brunch and BBQ will be). Others: -The Sagamore Resort -The Chelka Lodge -Canoe Island Lodge -Twin Birches Cottages -Carey's Lakeside Cottages There will be a wedding night shuttle that will pick up all wedding guests and drop them off from any of the above properties (and any other property between Lake George Village and The Sagamore)

House Or Rental

Airbnb or VRBO Rentals

There are lots of options for Airbnb and VRBO (Home Away) rentals in the area. Rentals located in Bolton, Bolton Landing and Diamond Point will be the most convenient to the weekend events, but those in Lake George/Lake George Village would work, as well. The Blue Water Manor Shuttle will run on Wedding Day from The Sagamore to Lake George Village, so anything in between will be within the route of the shuttle.

Flight

Albany International Airport

NYC has lots of flight options, but Albany airport is the closest and easiest to fly into! It's about an hour drive from the airport to Blue Water Manor (and shorter to Lake George Village).

Other Airports

Plattsburgh International Airport is the next closest airport. It is about 1.5 hours drive to the venue from there. Burlington Airport in Vermont would be the next closest after Plattsburg. It is about an 2 hour drive from there to Blue Water Manor. As mentioned earlier, NYC has lots of flight options, but it will be about a 3 hour, 30 mins (or more) drive from there to the lake! Travel Note

Driving Information from Cville

If you're coming from the Charlottesville area, the drive to Lake George takes about 9 hours. We have found that the best route is to take I-64 West, to I-81 North (through Harrisburg PA, past Wilkes-Barre and Scranton, and up to Binghamton). In Binghamton, take I-88 East to I-90 North for about 10 miles until you pick up 87 North. Then take I-87 North until exit 22 for 9N/Lake Shore Drive! Google Maps often wants to take you 95 North through DC, Baltimore and NYC, but the amount of traffic and tolls you have to drive through to go this route always makes the trip take WAY longer than google maps estimates (and costs much more)!

Shuttle to and from the Ceremony and Reception

A shuttle will be available to pick up guests who are staying at other hotels and accommodations in the area and bring them to Blue Water Manor and then drop you back off at the end of the night! If you're staying somewhere other than Blue Water Manor let us know and we will make sure you're included on the pick up list!
