We're Getting Married!

Leif and Laurel first met in an electronic art class at Colorado State University. He was a senior and she was a sophomore, sitting just a couple seats apart from each other. After that first class, they started chatting and Leif would often walk with Laurel across campus to her next class. Eventually, Laurel followed him on Instagram, and he asked for her number leading to their first date to the movies. Two weeks after their first date, they officially became a couple.

During a trip to Hawaii to visit Leif's sister, Leif wasn’t entirely sure how he would propose. He considered doing it during a waterfall hike, but with the help of Leif's sister and her wife, he eventually arranged a sunset picnic at a spot called Spitting Caves. He told Laurel they were taking photos to commemorate the trip, and while they were getting their pictures taken, Leif proposed.
