Ours is a modern-day love story. It began when the universe — and a little help from digital algorithms — brought us together. A simple plan for coffee, a bagel, and a thoughtful first date became the starting point of our journey. Soon after, Lance surprised Leilani with a romantic autumn picnic by the pool in Irvine, and it was clear that something special was unfolding. Our dating days were filled with weekday FaceTimes, weekend bike rides, scary movies, and the moment Lance suggested Leilani leave her toothbrush at his apartment — from then on, it was a done deal. One of the most unforgettable moments came after Leilani’s solo performance at the 2023 hula competition in Pleasanton. Surrounded by our ‘ohana, and still glowing from the stage, Lance got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Now, as we prepare for the next chapter of our love story, our hearts are full of gratitude and excitement. We can’t wait to share our special day with all of you.
