How did we meet? M: We met through mutual friends through zoom doing field service. L: We met for the first time on zoom in a letter writing group sometime around early 2022. What attracted you to one another? M: How laid back, chill, and funny she was. She was a new definition of beauty. L: The first thing we talked about when we met was our spiritual goals and I liked how they were very similar to mines. That initially attracted me to him. Also, when we first met in person he was so tall, dark, and very handsome to me. What do we do together for fun? M: Watching tv shows or movies together that we enjoy discussing. We love game nights. We love to have deep discussions. One of our favorite places to go is the beach to relax and chill and Disneyland was our first date and our happiest and one of our favorite places to be. L: We share and love listening to music together. Our favorite trip so far has been New York! We share a love for traveling. We really enjoy the ministry together since we’re both pioneering. Were you nervous to ask/be asked out? M: Yes. I wasn’t nervous about asking because I knew I wanted to be with her. I was nervous about the relationship afterward because I really wanted it to work out. L: I was nervous, in fact, the first time he asked I said “no, not right now.” I knew he was the person I wanted to date because he is amazing guy but I didn’t want to mess up our relationship as well. The very next day, I told him to ask me again because I couldn’t go another day without him being my man. Were you nervous for the first date? M: Yes I was because I didn’t know how she would react meeting my closest friends. L: I was both but was more so excited than nervous. Disneyland was the best pick for our first date so it was very chill and fun. What do we have in common? M: Goofy, funny, love Jehovah and engaging in spiritual activities, very smart and deep thinkers, similar interests in entertainment, love to have fun. We have similar likes and dislikes. Love photography and working out. We both took up golfing and love it. L: We have similar likes, interests, qualities and mindsets. I think we get each others sense of humor because it’s very similar to one another. We both love Jehovah and keep him centered in our lives. Who said I love you first? M: She did. But I felt it first. She had the courage to say it first. And I showed it quicker. L: I did! I knew when the right time was to say it. I saw by his actions that he loved me way before I said it though. How did your family react to meeting them? M: They were happy and excited to finally meet her. They were excited to get to know her more. They thought she was extremely beautiful. L: They loved him pretty quickly and were baffled that I found someone who is similar to our family.
