Travel + Other FAQ's

We are so excited to have our friends and family joining us from across the country. Here are our favorite ways to get into and around the city, as well as some other questions you may have. If we haven't answered your question here, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Question

What's the best way to get there from Ohio?

Answer

If you're driving from Ohio, you have the option to get on the South Shore line. We recommend boarding at the Hammond station where parking is free. The train will drop you off at Millennium Park, which is a 5 minute cab ride from the hotel. The train fare is $7.50 each way.

Question

What's the best way to get there from Central Illinois?

Answer

It's really easy to take the Amtrak train from the Princeton, IL station. The train runs 3 times per day, and it will drop you off at Union Station, which is a 10 minute cab ride from the hotel. The train costs between $12 and $40.

Question

Where should I fly into?

Answer

You can fly into Chicago O'Hare or Chicago Midway. You can get to the hotel from both airports either by taxi, rideshare or the CTA.

Question

If I decide to drive, where should I park?

Answer

Parking is located two blocks away from the hotels at Greenway Garage (58 W Kinzie St). It is $55 per day for self-park or $69 per day for valet. Both options include unlimited in and out privileges.

Question

How do I get to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We recommend walking or taking a cab between the venues. Uber and Lyft are both available in Chicago, as well. If you prefer to drive, you can park for free at the church parking garage at 311 West Illinois and there is free street parking outside of the venue on Kinzie Street. If you do street park on any other street, you will need to pay for parking via the app on the street signs.

Question

What's the best way to get around Chicago for sightseeing?

Answer

Chicago is a great city for walking! If you need to go a longer distance, we recommend downloading Uber or Lyft.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Semi-formal, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, leave them at home.

Question

Are kids invited to the wedding?

Answer

We love your kids, but we want our wedding to be your night off, so only immediate family's kids have been invited. Please refer to your invitation or ask us if you're uncertain.
