OUR STORY

Kelzé and Andrew met during Kelzé’s first year of law school in Professor A. Christopher Bryant’s Constitutional Law II class. Andrew was the teaching assistant; Kelzé was a student who proudly never used a TA—until Andrew’s final exam review session made constitutional law, and Andrew himself, impossible to ignore. For the first time, the material made sense, and Kelzé realized Andrew had a gift for explaining complex things…especially to her. After that, they kept running into each other. Between exchanges at Barrister’s Ball, spirited Super Bowl debates (including Andrew betting against the Eagles), and long conversations about music, it became clear they were on the same wavelength. Their first "date" was lunch at HangOverEasy, where they talked until the restaurant closed and left feeling like this might be something. From there, they became best friends first and partners always. Their relationship is grounded, playful, and centered on faith—anchored by Sunday mornings at Mass and breakfast with Andrew’s parents afterward. Andrew introduced Kelzé to Father Chris (who will marry them), and together they’ve grown deeper in faith and in life. They’ve survived law school, the bar exam (twice), and the early years of legal practice by showing up for each other through every late night and early morning. On November 1, 2025, Andrew finally (!!) proposed at Olden View Park! As they look toward marriage, Kelzé and Andrew are excited to keep God at the center of their life together, support each other as lawyers and lifelong learners, and continue building a life full of patience, humor, and love. All because of one constitutional law review session. Thanks, Professor Bryant!
