Our story started at a music festival, where Vanessa spotted Tyler and immediately decided that bothering him was the best way to flirt. Tyler was working as a breakfast cook for the festival, and Vanessa relentlessly asked him to make her a smiley-face chocolate chip pancake. Despite having every reason to ignore her, he actually made one- and out of all the people at the festival, she got the pancake. Apparently, bullying is an effective dating strategy. That night, we stayed up talking, fell asleep together outside our tents, and have been inseparable ever since. A few pets, concerts and years later, Tyler proposed on a pier in Cold Lake. It was awkwardly cute, a little nerve wracking, and absolutely perfect. We celebrated that night with champagne, a concert, and fireworks- because apparently our relationship has always had a thing for festivals and outdoor adventures. Now, after countless conversations, adventures , laughs, and probably a few more pancakes, we're excited to celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of our favorite people!
