Hello all, Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Justin and I have decided to postpone our reception to a later date. We will still be getting married on our wedding date but to keep everyone safe and at home, will be having our reception at a later time when the situation allows. Thank you all so much, we can't wait to celebrate with you on our new date!
Justin's best friend liked Amy; he asked for Justin's opinion. "She ugly." #becarefulwhoyoucalluglyinmiddleschool
Justin liked Amy for a while in college and at a party at his house, he very drunkenly told her he could feel her heartbeat and asked her when the last time was that she shaved her legs. Confused as to how these two are getting married? Us too. They got brunch together one day at Pine State Biscuits and afterward he very smoothly segued into asking if it felt like a date. "Not really." Could I take you on a date? "Mmmm...no..." One month later, our friends Jenny and Andria wingmanned hard for Justin, and Amy texted Justin to take her on a date.
Justin had a very elaborate plan to stage his own surprise birthday lunch and asked Daffodil (roommate) to get Amy's nails did in Ohio, which she promptly ruined. He planned on proposing where they had their first date (Eastbank Esplanade) but that was under construction. Cue Keller Fountain: perfect spot that was next to where they'd be eating lunch. Middle of lunch, Justin gets a text from his friends, Sheldon and Neil (our engagement photographers!), saying it's a no go - it is also under construction. Cue more stress. He takes Amy to Hawthorne to look at boutiques and hides in the corner of a bathroom while she shops, whispering to his friends on the phone, trying to find another site. He decides on Cathedral Park and he and Amy walk to get gelato. Thomas calls on the phone, because, guess what, Justin was going to propose with a fake ring because the real one wasn't scheduled to come in on time, but he found out that morning it was in Lake Oswego. So he asked Thomas to stay at his house, sign for the package when it came, and to deliver it to them for the proposal. Lucky for Justin, Amy keeps complaining about her feet hurting, so he says he's "going to get the car" but he makes a pit stop, trades the fake for the real ring, and picks Amy up to take her to the park. Walking down to Cathedral Park, Justin gives Amy his spiel, gets down on one knee (cue music from a magical guitarist who made our magical moment even more so) and she says yes.
