The best Arancini going - it’s usually the very first place we go upon arriving in Taormina! We highly recommend the ‘ragu’ coupled with a Messina beer (or two).
An institution in its own right – no trip to Taormina is complete without several trips to Bam Bar. Cold fresh Granita & warm sweet Brioche. Typically Sicilian, we like it at breakfast and sometimes in the afternoon too. It will be busy and you might have to wait for a table – but worth the wait.
A sea food restaurant right on the beach- the food is exceptional and the views are breathtaking. We highly recommend a big plate of Calamari to share and the local dish ‘Pasta con Sarde’! You'll need to book well ahead of time if you want to get in here, so don't wait! Ask for a good table near the water ;)
If you're coming to our wedding, you've no doubt heard us talk about 'Morgana' the bar/club owned and run by our close friends Guido & Christian. For cocktails & hospitality as good as anything we've experienced anywhere in the world, this is the spot.
One of two beaches in Taormina. Although the smaller of the two, Isola Bella, also known as the Pearl of the Ionian Sea or 'Beautiful Island' is actually a nature reserve.
The second and largest of the two beaches in Taormina. We like to spend a day from dawn until dusk here, interspersed with a nice long lunch at beach restaurant and maybe an afternoon nap. Book yourself a subbed at Lido la Pigna before heading on down. Bliss!
Tucked away up a side street you’ll find Sicilian ceramics with a modern and energetic twist. Anyone that’s been to our apartment will recognise a few things! Pop in and see the lovely Anita and Antonio, and yes, they ship internationally!
