Yes! Hana and Rumeal got married on August 17, 2018 at Punahou School's Thurston Memorial Chapel in Honolulu, Hawaii. At the beginning of August 2018, Hana and Rumeal had been dating for a while, Hana was stationed at Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii, and Rumeal had orders to leave Camp Humphreys, Korea for Ft. Riley, Kansas and go on a 9-month deployment to Germany. They realized that delaying the inevitable would only keep them geographically separated longer. Exercising disciplined initiative and accepting prudent risk, they made their decision and got married within the span of two weeks! They are now enrolled in the Married Army Couples Program, and Hana will be joining Rumeal in Kansas in Summer 2020 after completing her company command.
YES! This is Hana and Rumeal's opportunity to celebrate their marriage with family and friends, and congratulate themselves for coming this far! (This may even be their elaborate scheme to go to The Most Magical Place on Earth with their favorite people and feel the Force at the new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, but who knows...)
