Scott and Megan met on Halloween in 2018 through a mutual friend and spent most of the evening talking. That very first night, Scott proceeded to meet most of Megan's friends/neighbors and fit right in. This evening was followed by their first date on November 11, 2018. The rest, as they say, is history!

Sara, Megan's cousin, invited Megan and Scott over for a family game night on Friday, June 26, 2020, which was a pretty typical occurrence. When that Friday arrived, Megan and Scott arrived at Sara and Matt's house and Megan walked in first to see Amelia, Jake and Brett (Megan's cousins, aka niece and nephews in her eyes) holding chalkboards that said "Will you marry me?". Megan then looked around to see Scott down on one knee with the ring in his hand and to see her cousins, aunt and uncle, and even her mom (who came in from KY) standing in the corner of kitchen. Megan did a double take when she saw her mom there (the proposal was no surprise for Scott is not good at lying at all, but her mom being there was)! Scott proceeded to ask Megan the ever important question and she said yes!
