ICONA Avalon Resort - Jersey Shore Resort

The ICONA resort is where the ceremony and reception will take place. It is a beautiful and recently remodeled beachfront property (formerly the Golden Inn) with a restaurant/bar, pool, and beach bar on site - beach tags are also included. You can book online using the discount code LDWJune2021. You must use the link here: https://bit.ly/2NrF2LU and then click "do you have a group code?" and enter LDWJune2021 (also linked below - click "view") as the discounted rate will not work on the regular website. You can also call the hotel directly and mention the Lee D'Agostini wedding block. There is a 2 night minimum stay requirement for June (consistent across most hotels in the area.)

Concord Inn & Suites

The Concord Suites are directly across from the ICONA and walking distance from the beach. All suites have the same layout - a bedroom with two queen beds, living room with a queen pullout couch, and a mini kitchenette. Beach tags are included here as well. *Note* if you end up making a reservation here please let us know so we can make a note, as the hotel won't be keeping track of how many rooms we have booked for our wedding.

The Beachcomber Resort

Also across the street from Icona, the Beachcomber is a motel with a pool and jacuzzi in the back. Most rooms have been recently redone and include a living room and mini kitchenette. Beach tags are included here as well. The Beachcomber also has AARP and AAA discounts - check their page linked below for more details. *Note* if you end up making a reservation here please let us know so we can make a note, as the hotel won't be keeping track of how many rooms we have booked for our wedding.

Airbnb

Please feel free to check Airbnb and/or VRBO for additional lodging options. There are also local real estate companies that handle rentals; however, most of those rent on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday so they are not ideal for our wedding weekend. See FAQ page for more information on local rental agencies.

Additional Hotels

There are additional cheaper hotel options inland and in nearby towns such as Wildwood and Atlantic City (25-40 minutes away); however, we will not be providing transportation from any hotels for the ceremony and reception as ICONA, Concord Inn, & Beachcomber are all walkable, so please factor that into your decision.

Flight

Flying

Flying to Philadelphia (PHL) - The closest major airport to Avalon is Philadelphia International Airport (PHL.) The easiest way to get from the airport to Avalon is to rent a car, but you can also take a bus or train to Atlantic City and then uber/cab from there, although driving is strongly recommended. Flying to Atlantic City (ACY) - There is a small airport in Atlantic City, but there are not many direct flights here. Atlantic City is around 40-50 minutes from ICONA depending on traffic. Bus to Atlantic City - There are buses from NYC and Philadelphia to Atlantic City that run regularly. Train from Philadelphia to Atlantic City - This is an old train line and only runs every 2-3 hours.
