We're getting married!

Let's be honest — we didn't find each other. Our mothers found each other forty-something years ago in Chapel Hill (insert "Go Heels" here!), became sorority sisters at ADPi. After college they became roommates in Atlanta, where they both met our dad's and were even bridesmaids in each other's weddings! After 30+ long years of gate keeping, they finally decided to set us up. They were right. We hate that for them. We met in the summer of 2025, and have been together ever since. One of us was living in Atlanta. One of us was living in Maggie Valley, NC, population: Wilson, some bears, and a golf course. For eight months, we did long distance — which mostly meant LeeAnn pretending she was okay being more than 30 mins from a Target and Wilson pretending Atlanta traffic was fine, actually. In March, Wilson (and Etta) packed up and made the move to the big city! While he misses the mountains, and his golf club, luckily we have golf down here too. Now we live together in Atlanta with our dog, Etta, who was not consulted about the move, the engagement, or the wedding, but has opinions about all three. Speaking of the engagement — on May 31st, 2026, in Umbria, Italy, surrounded by olive trees and entirely too much good wine, Wilson asked the question, and LeeAnn didn't even have to say yes before the ring was on. We're getting married in April 2027, and we cannot wait to celebrate with all of you — especially two very smug mothers who have been waiting for this moment since approximately 1996. Turns out your mom really is always right after all!
