Lee and Zach met on Hinge in January 2021, thanks to a mutual appreciation for cats. Zach had five at the time, and Lee’s profile immediately stood out because her main photo featured one of her two cats, Oscar. Clearly, this was fate — or at least a very strong algorithm. Their relationship moved at a *thoughtful* pace. It took nearly a year for Lee to meet Zach’s friends, and another couple of months before Zach officially called her his girlfriend. He wanted to be sure. Lee was patient. Very patient. At the time, Lee lived on Plum Island and Zach lived in Gloucester, making the 45-minute drive between them a regular commitment. In 2023, Lee packed up her life and moved to Gloucester, where they created a home together — now ruled by their six combined cats.
