FAQs

Question

Where is Harold from?

Answer

Bogota, Colombia. He lived in Cali for almost 10 years and moved to Plainwell, Michigan in 2017.

Question

Where is Lee from?

Answer

Hastings, MI.

Question

Which children in the wedding are children of the bride and groom?

Answer

Rebecca is a flower girl. She is the bride’s daughter. Thomas is the ring bearer. He is the groom’s oldest son. Sofia is also a flower girl. She is the groom's niece. 2 or more children, friends, will also join us to hold the veil!

Question

Are the bride and groom married already?

Answer

Harold and Lee went quietly to the Holland, Michigan courthouse accompanied by immediate family on Lee’s birthday summer of 2023 and were legally bound. They have not had a ceremony and celebration and would like to do so with you, July 4th, 2024! They wanted to be married but did not have the ability to organize a wedding due to the time spent on moving, selling Lee’s condo and renovating Lee’s new school in 2023.

Question

Will the wedding be in English or Spanish?

Answer

Both. Our Spanish speaking pastor, Victor, from Peru will officiate and or English speaking pastor, Markus, will translate.

Question

Why are only children in the wedding?

Answer

This is a Colombian tradition! Colombians do not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. We are thrilled to share the stage with the children, though we love our friends and family as well :).
