Yes! Though it is important that children are not to be left unattended. Keep in mind that this is a working ranch. There is a pond and running water in a few creeks on the property, livestock, electric fencing, haystacks, a busy country road, tractors, nesting wild and domestic birds, and other wild animals presence possible. No climbing on haystacks, tractors, fencing or livestock.
Yes, but only in the specific area for fire safety. Please only smoke in the designated area on the concrete pad next to the porta potties and dispose of butts in the provided receptacle.
Camping is possible, as long as whomever wants to knows bear safety and how to clean camp without any attractants. There have been recent bear sightings in the area. Car camping sounds even safer! The porta potties and handwashing station will be available still of course.
Parking is limited and will be designated by signage and ribbon. Please do not drive in ribboned off areas - they are growing grass for livestock. Carpooling is encouraged to cut down on cars that need to park. Reasonable requests will be honored including handicapped parking if needed. The most important thing is that no one drinks too much and drives. We will have a couple sober people that could give people rides home if needed, and their cars can spend the night and be picked up the next morning. Venue owners insist on leaving vehicles locked and can hold the keys for safety if needed.
Cell service is not reliable. The landline phone is 406-244-3621 complete with answering machine. The landline phone will be accessible on the porch next to the house door.
Garbage in trash receptacles only. Let Hannah know if you require a nursing or changing area. Restrooms are provided, as well as hand washing. Not in the house. All outbuildings are private. Please stay on designated pathways only. If you go through a gate, close it behind you. Wear and/or bring mosquito repellent. Stay out of waterways, creeks, poultry pen, dog kennels and horse pasture.
