Dock square is the heart of Kennebunkport which offers great shops, food, and art galleries! Some of our favorite spots for food and drinks are: - The Clam Shack: Despite the name they are famous for their award winning lobster roll. Cold with mayo or hot with butter? The choice is yours but just don’t tell the Bride if you like it hot with butter. - Hurricane Restaurant: A favorite of ours for lunch or dinner in the heart of downtown Kennebunkport - Arundel Wharf: A great option to enjoy dining (or just drinking) outdoors while watching the boats go by! - Batson River: A cozy brewery & distillery offering bar bites to pair with their craft beer and cocktails - Mabel’s Pantry: A coffee and breakfast spot right across the street from the Breakwater Inn - Coveside Market: A coffee shop and market with grab and go food that is also right across the street from the Breakwater Inn
beaches
Colony Beach: A small rocky beach that is a ~3 minute walk from the Breakwater Inn. Limited public parking is available. Gooch’s Beach: A wide beautiful beach that is on the opposite side of the river as the Breakwater Inn (~5-10 minute drive). Limited parking is available along Beach avenue. Goose Rock’s Beach: Despite the name, GRB is a three mile long sandy beach with great views. Parking is allowed in posted spaces on King’s Highway, Dyke Road, and New Biddeford Road.
