On a cold Boston night in April, with stubborn crusty snow still on the ground, Courtney and Lee met at Rocco’s Cucina and Bar in the North End. They sat at an empty bar filled with the sounds of New England Italian accents and the chatter of diners behind them. With no patience for awkward silences, Courtney asked Lee if he’d be interested in a game of “ask me anything.” The rules were simple: take turns asking anything, and if the other didn’t want to answer, they’d take a drink. By those rules, neither of them would have touched their drinks - though they still did. Before long, Rocco’s was filled with something new: comfortable, joyful laughter - the kind that never really stopped.
Lee and Courtney are so excited to bring all of the people they love together to celebrate at the very place where they got engaged. Just outside of Philadelphia, Ridley Creek State Park has long been their sanctuary and favorite hiking spot, where they often brought their dogs, Harley and Dale. In October of 2024, Lee surprised Courtney by getting on one knee next to the creek where they had shared so many memories. With only GPS coordinates to guide them, Lee’s brother Felix and soon-to-be wife Jude hid behind a tree to capture the moment. Surrounded by some of the best fall foliage Pennsylvania has to offer - and briefly tangled in Dale’s leash when Courtney jumped into Lee’s arms - they turned seven years of love into something lasting.
