Where is the wedding?

We're getting married at Compass Rose Suites in Milford, ON. The address is 575 Crowes Rd, Milford, ON K0K 2P0. For more information, visit their website at https://www.compassrosesuites.ca/venue. Directions: From Highway 33, take the Cherry Valley exit at the roundabout. At the stop, take a right on Highway 10 for 5km. Left onto Miller Rd. Right onto Crowes Rd.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Dress Code: Garden Semi-Formal Romantic, playful, and a little elevated — think garden party with an elegant twist. It’s outdoors, so outfits should be polished but comfortable for grass, uneven terrain, and a potentially cooler evening. Dress for the weather! For Women, we recommend: Maxi or midi dresses in floral prints, pastel tones, or soft neutrals. Fabrics like chiffon, silk, or linen. Comfortable block heels, wedges, or dressy sandals (avoid stilettos on grass). For Men, we recommend: Light suit (linen, cotton, or other breathable fabric). Colors like navy, gray, brown, sage, or soft beige. Footwear: loafers or dress shoes that work well outdoors.

Can I park at the venue?

Yes! Compass Rose Suites has a free parking lot. You're welcome to drive, just be sure to assign a designated driver! We will be offering a bus service to and from the venue, Compass Rose Suites, with stops at The Waring House and The Royal (located within meters of Picton Harbour Inn & Cribs on Main). Most hotels and b&bs are walkable from these two locations, so please plan accordingly.

Where should I stay?

You're welcome to stay anywhere you'd like within the Milford or Picton area! Popular hotels include The Waring House, The Royal Hotel, Picton Harbour Inn, and Cribs on Main. There are also many bed and breakfasts in the area! But be sure to book fast, as labour day weekend is very popular. The Waring House 395 Sandy Hook Rd, Picton, ON K0K 2T0 (613) 476-7492 Tip: If you're booking at The Waring House, we have 16 rooms blocked under Lee Adam. Give them my name when booking. If the block runs out, don't worry! You're encouraged to book at The Waring House apart from the block, as there is no discount associated with the reservation (so if you're an early bird, please leave these rooms for late-comers!). I recommend calling to book for an optimal experience! There are no Uber services in Picton or Milford. However, there is an service called "Uride". If you'd prefer to use a ride share service, please book in advance of the wedding at https://www.uride.co/

We will send out formal invitations in the fall, along with RSVP instructions.

Answer

To allow us to celebrate with our nearest and dearest, we are only able to accommodate those named on your invitation.

Will there be an open bar?

Duh! Yes! But feel free to bring cash to tip the bartenders.

How do I share my dietary restrictions?

Answer

Whether you're gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, or vegan, there will be something for you to enjoy! When completing your RSVP, please be sure to list any allergies or dietary restrictions. These will be accommodated in your plated salad and entrée.

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Currently, no. Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. Should you wish to honour us with a gift, we’d be grateful for a contribution toward our honeymoon/new home.
