Great question! Technically, yes, we are already married. As many of you know, we chose to elope for many reasons, mainly COVID and impatience :) But we still want the opportunity to celebrate with all of our friends and family! The way we look at is that the “ceremony” has already happened, and this event is just the very delayed “reception.”
For dinner, we will be serving wood-fired pizza from a food truck, and salad. If you have any allergies, please let Katie or Matt know, and we will do our best to accommodate.
While we appreciate the generosity, please do not feel obligated to bring another gift to the reception!! We have all the pots and pans that we need, we really just want to celebrate with you.
Our venue is right on the beach, and dinner will take place on a tent in the sand. So flip flops or sandals are encouraged, and shoes are entirely optional.
We plan to have an open bar during cocktail hour, and cash bar once dancing starts.
Unfortunately, as of right now, we will not be providing any transportation to or from the venue. There is plenty of parking on the premises, and Ubers/taxis can be arranged. Cell reception can be spotty in Welfleet, and Ubers can be scarce, so if you cannot contact an Uber, here are some Cape Cod Taxi services: Cape Cab Taxi (accepts Venmo) http://www.capecabtaxi.com/ (508) 240-1500 or (508) 349-8294 Town Taxi of Cape Cod (open 24 hrs, ~$3.00 per mile) https://www.towntaxicapecod.com/ 508-775-5555 Also have an App called “Town Taxi of Cape Cod”
For anyone who is interested - yes! Some of us will be heading to the Beachcomber in Welfleet (10 minute, 4 mile drive) after the reception ends at 10pm. Beachcomber is open until 1am!
The bride and groom will be sticking around on Saturday for brunch and a beach day. Please reach out if you'd like to join!
