We're Getting Married!

When you ask Rachel how she met Collin, she will respond, "We went to High School together", but when you ask Collin, his answer is, "She said she could have gone the rest of her life without seeing me again, then punched me in the face 3 times". Oddly enough, both of these stories are true. Rachel and Collin did go to Eaton High School together, but their paths never truly crossed, even though they both secretly noticed one another. It wasn't until about 2 years post-graduation that they ran into each other at the gym. Rachel was surprised to see Collin (he had grown a lot since she had last seen him and she thought he was much cuter than he was in high school), so when he walked up to her and said "Hey, how are you?", she blurted out, "Hey Collin, I could have gone the rest of my life without seeing you again." As mortifying as this slip of the tongue was for Rachel, Collin was utterly surprised, laughed, said "Wow, okay!" and walked away. A few weeks later, they met again at a party, and Collin dared Rachel to "punch him in the face". After much convincing and bribery, she punched him in the face 3 times. Again, she was mortified, but he was somehow charmed. Months later, after Collin began his first season of wildland fire in Montana, he reached out to Rachel, and they began to build a friendship that would last forever. After finding out how much they had in common, how often they found their stomachs hurting from the constant laughter, and the strong connection to shared experiences, they began dating. Their relationship hasn't always been perfect, but it's been the single greatest blessing to each of them. They continue to choose each other daily and remember the funny history of how it all started. Oh, and Rachel has never punched Collin again.
