Bayou Bar
Also located within the walls of the Ponchartrain Hotel, check out this piano bar for a cozy atmosphere and late-night bites. Hours: 10:30am - 12am.
Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar
Head towards Uptown via streetcar for one of our FAVORITE restaurants! Superior Seafood is our go-to spot for out-of-town guests because of their delicious seafood, frozen cocktails, and fresh baked bread. Definitely worth a try while you're here! Hours: 11am-10pm
Tacos & Beer
The groom's FAVORITE Mexican restaurant. Cheap tacos, beer, margaritas, & queso! Located on the St. Charles streetcar line, and only an 8-minute walk from the hotel. Hours: 11am-10:30pm.
Jazz Brunch at Commander's Palace
This is where Evan & I celebrated our 2nd anniversary together! Established in 1893, Commander's Palace is one of the OLDEST and BEST restaurants in the city. It's where Chef Emeril Lagasse got his start, and is only a 12-minute walk from the hotel. The dress code is business attire, so come prepared with a jacket and a reservation!
Molly's Rise and Shine
A coveted brunch spot that we haven't tried yet... but it's on the bucket list! Chef Mason Hereford (also the owner of Turkey and the Wolf) has been featured on Iron Chef and recently released a cookbook of cult classics! This restaurant is located on Magazine Street, and open from 8am-2pm.
District Donuts Sliders Brew
Donuts and coffee! Need we say more? Opens at 7am.
Breakfast at The Camellia Grill
Diner-style seating with all your favorite breakfast classics– pancakes, waffles, eggs, toast, and more! Open from 8am-8pm.
Prytania Theatre

Creole Creamery
Satisfy your sweet tooth with this one-of-a-kind ice cream shop. Located on Prytania Street, only a few blocks away from our first apartment together. Our favorite flavors are Creole Cream Cheese (Maddie) & Cookie Monster (Evan). It's just down the street from Prytania Theatre if you're looking for a fun night out! Open 'til 11pm.
